Detailed introduction to Samp:
Dried bean kernels that have been stamped and chopped until broken butas fine as mealie meal or mealie rice. The coating around the kernelloosens and is removed during the pounding and stamping process.
Use: It is favoured among the Xhosa and usually made into a dishcalled "samp and beans" that is served with Butter or fat. It can alsobe served with beef, lamb, Poultry and in stuffings.
