ScallopsPlacopecten Magellanicus is the species caught in the Northwest Atlantic, both in the U.S. and in Canada. Sea scallops are shucked at sea and kept on ice or frozen onboard. The fishing year begins on March 1st and is strictly regulated by the U.S. Government.

Size Range
Popular Fresh scallop sizes for the European markets are 10/20ct and 20/30ct per lb. Larger and smaller scallops are available on request.
Packaging
Fresh scallops are mostly packed in containers of 2kg or 1kg or 1-gallon units. The tubs are packed in master cartons of 4x2kg (8kg pack) or 5x2kg (10kg pack). Tubs are packed in styrofoam cartons with a liner and ice.
Fresh, all natural, dry and chemical free.
