Seaweeds drying is most popular in Southeast Asia. We have very mature process technology and manufacturing ability. We have many customers in  Southeast Asia. Usully, initial moisture content of wet seaweeds is around 90%, after drying, the final moisture content can reach around 10%, even less.

 

For drying seaweeds, we use DW mesh belt Dryer. The size of  dryer can be designed according to your capacity requirement.

 

Principle of mesh belt dryer: 

 

 

Its fundamental is this: Materials that to be dried are distributed on the conveyer belt by feeding device (Such as Star-shape material distributor, swinging belt, Grinder or granulator). Conveyer belt will go through the drying chamber that consists of one or several heating units. Each heating unit is equipped with air heating system and circulation system. When the conveyer belt goes through it, hot air will pass though the material on the belt from up to down or from down to up so that the material can be dried uniformly. Heating source can be steam, heat transfer oil, flue-gas or electricity. Fan is used for heat convection and transferring heat to material, and fresh air is supplied and damp air is exhausted.
