Properties: White free flowing Columnar Needle shape, odorless or slight benzoic scent, slight sweet taste and owns astringency. It is stable in air and easy to dissolve in water and aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. Additionally, it is slightly dissolved in ethanol.
Application:
- Food preservative, ( It is used as one of the principal antimicrobial and antifungal preservatives used in foods, beverages, cosmetic, dental care products, spice, tobacco , feedstuff and as raw material of plasticizer and pharmaceuticals)
- Antiseptic Medications, Tabletting Lubricant for Pharmaceutical. (It is also used in medications, anti-fermentation additives and tabletting lubricant for parmaceuticals.)
- Dyes intermediate, Mildew Inhibitor, Tobacco. ( It may also be used as a test for liver function. The industrial applications are as a corrosion inhibitor in antifreeze products, as a nucleating agent for polyolefin, as a dye intermediate, and as a catalyst )
