Perilla Seed Oil ,is one of serial functional vegetable oil products, was extracted from the mature seeds of Perilla frutesccns, one medicinal plants of labiatae family.

 

Nutrition composition :

Perilla seed oil contains many unsaturated fatty acids, such as

4.0-12.0%of palmitinic acid,

1.0-4.0%of stearic acid,

10.0-25.0%of oleic acid,

10.0-25.0% of linoleic acid

50.0-70.0% of α-linolenic acid.

 

Effect:

Perilla seed oil, a kind of natural greases with many unsaturated fatty acids including 50%-70% of α - linolenic acid as its major composition, the highest content among all the vegetable oil . α-linolenic acid can decrease blood cholesterol and fat, prevent atherosclerosis and angiocardiopathy lastingly. α-linolenic acid can be converted into EPA and DHA by the enzyme in body, which are the main compositions of deep-sea fish oil with action of decreasing the blood fat and improving the anamnesis, thus it also named as plant deep-sea fish oil . However it is better than deep-sea fish oil due to no cholesterol . Overseas research showed that α-linolenic acid also possessed the effects on anti-anaphylaxis, improving adaptability in adversity and inhibiting some cancer cells .
