Located in the northern part of the “tavoliere” area, west of the Gargano promontory and north of Foggia, the city of San Severo is surrounded by cultivated fields that cover a large area called “Capitanata di Puglia. In this famous “Land of Wine”, the pace of life is still marked by the seasons, from sowing, the crops and all the moments that characterize the work of the fields. ArianoAttlio loves and has respected this land forever, just like his family who has devoted their lives to agriculturefor generations.
This is where he cultivated his dream. La Cantina Ariano is firmly founded on these principles: a passion for wine and respect for the environment. The historic farm, inherited from his family since 1997, methods of Organic farming added in 2005 made the farm equipped with a modern manufacturing facility. The most important part of the company’s policy is the quality of the production and the service and compatibility with the environment. Combining the precepts of the family tradition with the most advanced technologies, the winery Ariano intends to perpetuate the history of the great “Land of Wine” of this area, with an eye towards the future.
Today, thanks to the careful work of some specialized producers and oenologists, the “prince” grape of San Severo Red DOC is in the limelight as one of the most important red Grapes as quality and interest. The wine we obtain has got a “tempting” and intense fruit taste, with traces of sour cherry and cherry. The balanced taste, soft and tannic, makes this wine suitable for meat sauce, grilled and roasted meat and Cheese with a “risolute” taste.
We suggest to serve it at 16- 18°C.
