The Georgia Shiraz is medium purple and red color. The nose exhibits aromas of Mulberry and Dark chocolate with hints of spicy vanilla essence, the palate is rich and full bodied with lovely integration of fruit, oak, acid and tannin. In 2008 good winter rains set the vines up well with healthy canopies. A normal spring and very cool January and February meant the vines were able to ripen without stress. A sustained heat wave in early March caused the grapes to finish ripening quickly and resulted in some frantic picking. The resulting wine is a tasty blend of elegance and generosity.
