Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)

Also known as textured soy protein (TSP) or Textured Vegetable Protein, is a meat substitute derived from Non-GMO soybean,through peeling ,degreasing,grinding,extrustion,expanding and high temperature & high pressure treatment. It is purely natural vegetable products with no cholexterol or any other additives. This product has high content of protein, low fat content easy to be absorbed by human being. It has excellent fiber structure and water absorption ability,extensively used as fillings I food industris and made into dainty dishes on family tables. Tastes like meat, it is an idea high protein ingredient for meat products. It also has certain function of diet therapy for anterioscierosis, diabetes and cardlovascular diseases.

Application:

-boiled Dumplings,sausages,meat balls,farci food,seasoning paste,vegetarian products,convenience and leisure food

-colored TVP can be made into mimetic beef,chicken,ham,preserved ham,fish,etc

Application in dumpling stuffings and sausages:

The added quantity of TVP to meat stuffing is 15---2%(wet basis) of the meat quantity i.e. 1520kg(wet basis) of TVP will be put into 100kg of meat;and the proportion to vegetarian stuffing is 2030%(wet basis).If aplied in vegetarian stuffing according to actual need, it will give better effect to be fried in vegetable oil.

Usage:

1.       Soak certain amount of TVP (dry basis) into arm water(±50) for 2030 minutes,fish them out, wash 1 or 2 times by clean water,dry it by centrifugal to obtain TVP wet base, then it is ready to be used.

2.       Put rehydrated TVP( if big granules or flakes,must be cut thin in cut mixer or meat grinder) and meat stuffing into stuffing mixer,add flavoring ,salt,cooking liquor and other supplementary materials,then mx them evenly.

It is suggested that when use it for the 1 st time, in order to keep flavor of the products,half quantity of the TVP should be added, then increase the quantity gradually by the effect of trial use

Storage:

-keep away from rain and humidity during transportation and storage, forbidden to pack or store together with odorants

-best temperature for storage is below 25,keep ventilation and dryness

-shelf life is 24 months
