HBDhabedahrice established under the cooperation of the group of rice traders in the North consisting of rice traders and ricemills in the North with the concept to minimize the process of rice export in order to gain quality rices with internation standard at lower price. With the sooner of production period, the sooner of delivery to customers. Furthermore, the aim to protect the interest of Thai farmers to obtain worthy return and to maintain the balance of rice prices freed from underpricing of the middlemen in order to create the bargaining power for Thai rices to compete in the world market.
Presently, the group of rice traders in the North is consisting of a group of 5 ricemills, i.e. Chokechai Ricemill, Siriwattana Thanyakit Ricemill, Sophonpanit Ricemill, Thanyaboon Sathaporn Ricemill and Tek Hua Huad 4 Ricemill. The capacity of production is around 3,000 tonne/day.
