Flaxseed is the seed from the plant Linum usitatissimum. Oil from the seed is used to make medicine.
Flaxseed oil is considered a rich healing oil. Also known as linseed oil, it is prepared from the seeds of the flax plant. It contains alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3 essential fatty acid), lignans (phytochemicals), vitamins and magnesium. It is known for providing a number of health benefits and has been certified as 'good for the heart' by the American Heart Association. It can be taken directly or it can be used as an ingredient in salads, cereals or cooked vegetables. It can also be mixed with yogurt or combined with a blender drink.
Packaging: Flaxseed oil is packaged in 190kg net HDPE drums and purged with nitrogen.Custom packaging is available.
Storage: The oil should be stored in a cool and dry place, protected from light. Cloudiness or sedimentation is normal and may be resolved by rotating the unopened drum at 30-40℃.
Shelf life:The shelf life is two years if unopened in the original standard 190kg
package: Once opened the shelf life of the oil is limited by temperature and light and oxygen exposure. Any remaining oil should be blanketed with nitrogen and used as soon as possible.
