This Bulgarian dry red wine is produced from the unique variety of Broad-leaved vine of Melnik cultivated only in the south-west part of Bulgaria, where winemaking has long tradition. It is also unique by its characteristics. Not known elsewhere in the world, difficult to vinify and underestimated. A dry red wine made of selected Grapes that are picked in the middle of October when fully ripe. Vinification is performed in a specific process to unleash the potential of the ripe grapes. The wine has aged in Bulgarian barrels for 3 months and then one month in bottles before releasing on the market.
The color of the wine is pleasant , garnet with ruby nuances and good intensity. It has a specific and strong aroma dominated by ripe cherries and Spices with tones of forest berries, leather and tiny notes of tobacco and vanilla . Same aromas can be found in the taste as well and the aftertaste is dominated by the spices.
It is suitable for consuming with piquant dishes, cheese, game and on its own. Serve at temperature 15-18°C.
