Ruby red color wine reveals an aroma of red fruits and smooth tannins
Vale das Donas RED WINE 75cl bottle (Also available in Bag in Box with 5L and 10L)
Winemaker tasting notes:
This ruby red color wine reveals an aroma of red fruits and smooth tannins.
Reviews:
Flavors of beetroot and juicy fruit are juxtaposed in this structured yet fruity wine. It has some bitterness and a hint of wood, and there is intense acidity on the finish.

Grapes-p1.html" target='_blank'>Grapes varieties: Castelao 50% and Aragonez 50%
Castelao: Is one of the grape varieties most cultivated in the south of Portugal. It has had many names throughout times: João de Santarém, Castelão Francês and the popularly spread Periquita. Castelão develops best in hot climates and sandy and dry soils. When planted in moist and fertile soils, it produces low quality wines.
Wines produced by this grape variety are concentrated, aromatic (raspberry and gooseberry) and have good ageing potential.
Aragonez: Is one of the most famous grape varieties of the Iberian Peninsula. It is originally from Spain, where it goes by the name "Tempranillo", being also known as Tinta Roriz in the Douro region. As this grape variety easily adapts to different climates and soils, its cultivation has been spread to Dão, Ribatejo and Estremadura. In order for the Aragonez qualities to be excellent, its production has to be controlled. Ideal are sandy and carbonate-clayey soils in hot and dry climates, to make the production lower and the berries more concentrated.
This grape variety produces wines with high Alcohol content and low acidity, ideal for ageing, as they are very resistant to rust.
