Product description: Red beet juice is a dark bordeaux -red liquid produced by pressing of red beet (Beta vulgaris)and subsequent pasteurization of the juice .The major coloring principle is betanin.

 

Product solubility: Water-soluble .  

 

Main Coloring Compositions: Betanin0.43-0.46%

 

Solvent stability: Soluble in water and aqueous ethanol, Insoluble in oil

Applications:    The product is intended for use in food. like Ice-cream , beverages, confectionaries, jams, jellies and other products with low PH.Red to bluish red hue inth final product ,depending on the food product ,processing and the quantity used.

 

Directions for use:    Shake the product before use,as pigment may settle during storage.Can be added directly to the food product after conditioning to room temperature (20-25 centigrate).If the product is to be diluted before use ,it is preferable to use soft or distilled water .If not available,mix with water immediately before use.Do not mix with calcium salts.

 

Legislation: The color is in full compliance with the food directive EC/178/2002 with later

amendments ,EUregulation 1333/2008 with later amendments on Food Additives and with specifications for identity and purity given by JECFA,with the EU Directive 2008/128/EC with later amendments for E162.
