The SMS Scrubber neutralizes corrosive/toxic fumes that develop during oxidative mineralizations or other processes in two stages: the condensation stage captures most fumes and condenses it in the first bottle; any fumes not captured travel into a second sodium hydroxide solution bottle, where neutralization occurs. For samples, such as soybean, that generate higher than average amounts of odor during digestion, an optional third stage of carbon filtering is available.
The JP Recirculating Pump removes toxic fumes with two time mode selections for 6 or 20-place digestions, and a manual control as well. The JP's ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) structure is resistant to chemical corrosion, and save on water consumption with a recirculating rate of 35 L/min.
