Soxhlet extraction has been a common, but time-consuming, technique for determining different components of products derived from agriculture, industry or contained in environmental samples. Modifications introduced by American chemist, Edward L. Randall, have significantly reduced this extraction time.
SER 148, available in 3- or 6-position models, operates according to the Randall technique to reduce extraction time, while also maximizing solvent recovery and ensuring operator safety.
Both come complete with extraction cups, thimbles and thimble holders, an inlet tube, heat shield, and a set (of 3 or 6, depending on your model choice) Viton? and Butyl seals. Both also feature an RS-232 port for simple connectivity to a printer and quick, easy printing of extraction data (for GLP requirements).
Also available: Vaflon seals (sold separately) for extractions that use solvent mixtures
