Oak cubes are the best alternative to using oak barrels. Can have similar aroma and flavor effects as barrels, because the cubes are literally 'punched' out of the sides of wine barrels. They're available in Medium Toast. Great for Carboys, and can also be added to must during primary fermentation to simulate "barrel ferment." Minimum of three months extraction for true oaking effect.
