Astragalus sinicus is a species of milkvetch in the family Fabaceae. It is known under such common names as Chinese milkvetch (or milk-vetch) and is in common use in farming as a green manure.

Astragalus sinicus has high animal husbandry value, high nutrient content, rich protein, good palatability, and livestock are preferred. It is an excellent forage feed, but Ziyunying feeds horses, cattle and sheep as feed. The amount should not be too much, otherwise it will cause the animal to bloat. In addition, Chinese milk vetch is also an important green manure plant, which has a very high nitrogen fixation capacity and high utilization efficiency. When the Chinese milk vetch rots, it can stimulate a large amount of nitrogen in the soil, which is conducive to ensuring the ecological balance of the farmland system.
