Zinc oxide (ZnO), commonly known as zinc white, is an oxide of zinc. Insoluble in water, soluble in acids and strong bases. Zinc oxide is a common chemical additive, widely used in plastic, silicate products, synthetic rubber, lubricating oil, paint coating, ointment, adhesive, food, battery, flame retardant and other products. Zno has large band gap and exciton binding energy, high transparency and excellent luminescence performance at room temperature. It is used in LCD, thin film transistor, led and other products in semiconductor field. In addition, microparticles of zinc oxide as a nanometer material also began to play a role in related fields.
