Under instruction of experts from Zoological Science Institute of Guangxi University, the Spotted Fowl is developed by technician's over 10 years of effort through modern breeding technology.
It has the same shape as local fowl and has ephadra, spotted and partly black feather. Breeding birds can be classified by feather color.
Breeding Birds: Cock has a wide shape, straight cockscomb and bright feather; hen has bright feather, and begins to lay eggs in 22nd week. The hen in roost lays 170 eggs/68 weeks, hatches out 170 baby chickens per 68 weeks, its fertilization rate is over 95%. In 30th week, the peak of laying, the spawning rate reaches 80%, hatchability is over 92%.
Commercial Fowl: It grows very fast, and has strong disease resistance and red and large cockscomb and small bones as well. It is as delicious as local fowl and is best for cold chicken. In 56th day, it generally weighs 1.5 kg, the ration between weight and consuming feed is 1:2.1-2.3, survival rate of chicks are over 98%. The fowl with in 49th day generally weighs 1.8kg and crop rate is over 98%.
