Using activated charcoal around the home, office, garage or just about anywhere else is very easy. You can buy activated charcoal in many forms (loose, imbedded in filters or as part of hanging deodorizers) and in bulk quantities, if necessary.

 

 

b) Purchase activated coal-baed Carbon as loose granules, discs or filters. Look for these products at large stores that sell home cleaning supplies. Pet stores also sometimes carry activated charcoal for odor control. If you have a major odor problem in your home, get the granules. Small discs won't treat large areas.

 

c) Identify the areas with the worst odor in your home. This may be near a litter box, near the kitchen trash can or in your bathroom, for example.

 

d) .Create several sachets full of the charcoal granules. You can use cheesecloth, thin socks or similar breathable materials for the sachets. Tie them closed with string.

 

e) Hang the sachets close to the problem areas. You can put up several for very strong odors.
