Our company was founded in 2009 and specialize in production and sale of natural chewing gum (larch resin) under the trade name “Baikalskaya Smolka”. The production is located in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia. The number of workers engaged in the production and collection of high-quality taiga raw materials is constantly and steadily growing.
Our products found their customers all over the Baikal region and took a substantial share of sales of more than 45% in their category (Larch resin).
Sales of larch resin are constantly growing and currently account for about 10% of the chewing gum category (Orbit,
Dirol-Cadbury).
Baikal Smolka is also widely known outside the republic; we are represented and distribute our product in such cities as Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita and other regions. We cooperate with well-known networks of the Baikal region, such as: “Absolute”, “Nikolaevsky” chains in Ulan-Ude; “Privoz”, “Sputnik” in Chita; "Volcano" in the city of Irkutsk; in 2012, they signed an agreement with the network and large wholesale company KIA, Novokuznetsk. Negotiations are ongoing on the subject of cooperation with other retail chains and wholesale companies in various cities of Russia.
The campaign for commercial facilities in Irkutsk was successfully carried out, 40% of retail outlets in the Irkutsk region were covered in a month.
Online sales account for approximately 45% compared to competitors. Our main advantages is lower pricing by 1-2 rubles, great quality and taste (in a month or two we take up to 40% of sales online and approximately 50% based on balance between quality and price of the product, poppy packaging and other advantages over competitors).
December 1, 2011 "Baikalskaya Smolka" made it to the list of 350 best products of the Republic of Buryatia and received a diploma at the contest “350 Best Products of the Native Land".
