Fresh, clean, ripe and sound apple fruits which are transferred to the Apple Puree Concentrate production facility are first subjected to pre-washing and sorting stages and the selected apples are then subjected to the milling process where the intermediate product called the Apple Mash is obtained. After that, the apple mash is heated up to a certain temperature and goes under the fining process in order to obtain the final product called the Apple Puree. A further evaporation (concentration) process is perfomed in order to produce the Apple Puree Concentrate if a higher concentration is required.
Apple Puree Concentrate is then packed, through aseptic filling or cold filling, into PE bags in metal or plastic drums, in bins or into food tankers with specific volumes as per customer requirements and then the packed apple puree concentrate is transferred to the storage area.
