Baikal skullcap (botanical origin - Scutellaria baicalensis Georg (syn. Scutellaria macrantha Fisch.) is used in cosmetics, food supplements and additive for animals. The root (radix) is used for the production of baikal skullcap dry extract. Baikal skullcap extract is a yellowish or light mustard-coloured powder with a vegetable smell and a bitter taste.
