Ceremonial Matcha
Ceremonial Matcha is the most premium variety of Japanese green tea. It is used by the major tea schools and Buddhist temples in Japan specifically for the tea ceremony, where it is blended to be served straight.
Ingredient Matcha
This variety of Matcha is specifically blended for use in food and beverage applications. In order to compete with stronger flavors, the younger, delicate leaves are blended with heavier ones to retain a stronger flavor profile. Ingredient Matcha is the raw material for most ?green tea? flavored products in the market. Examples include Matcha green tea ice cream, gelato, smoothies, lattes, ready-to-drink beverages, and chocolates.
