Cacao beans are the seed kernels of Theobroma cacao, a small, evergreen tree
that grows in tropical climates. Cocoa is a deviation of the Spanish word
cacao, derived from the Nahuatl word cacahuatl. Cocoa can often also refer to
the drink commonly known as hot chocolate;
cocoa powder, the dry powder made by grinding cocoa seeds and removing the
cocoa butter from the dark, bitter cocoa solids; or to a mixture of cocoa
powder and cocoa butter. Cacao beans are one of nature's most potent
antioxidant foods. The foundation of all chocolate products, cacao (ka-kow)
beans are found inside the pulp of the cacao fruit. Our Cacao Beans are
sourced from Peru where they are naturally fermented to remove bitterness -
creating a smooth, rich chocolate flavor. Our cacao beans are organic
certified by EU regulations. It are criollo beans from Peru with an MOQ of 50
