Cassava (Also known as Manihot Esculenta) is a woody shrub native to tropical America that is now grown and consumed by millions of people. It’s an edible starch root (tuber) and is a major source of food in countries around the world. Cassava is one of the largest sources of Carbohydrates. The Cassava shrub may grow as long as 9 feet and has leaves deeply divided into lobes. The shrub is often grown annually and is propagated from stem cuttings after the tubers have been harvested.
