Aluminium sulphate (chemical formula: Al2 (SO4) 3) is a widely used industrial reagent, which is usually confused with alum. Aluminum sulfate is commonly used as a flocculant in the purification of drinking water and sewage treatment equipment. Aluminum sulfate is also used in the papermaking industry. Aluminium sulfate hardly exists in the form of anhydrous salt under natural conditions.

1:In paper industry, aluminium sulphate is used as paper sizing agent to enhance the water resistance and impermeability of paper.
2:Aluminium sulphate can dissolve in water and coagulate fine particles and natural colloidal particles into large flocs, which can be removed from water, so aluminium sulphate can be used as coagulant for sewage and wastewater.
3:Aluminum sulphate used as turbid water purifier, also used as precipitator, fixing agent, filler, etc. Aluminum sulphate is used as raw material (astringent) of sweat suppressing cosmetics in cosmetics.
4:In fire fighting industry, aluminum sulfate can form foam extinguishing agent with baking soda and foaming agent.
5:Aluminum sulfate can be used as raw material to produce artificial gems, high-grade ammonium alum and other aluminates.
