A test toner containing 5% YUZU Ceramide B or control (70% BG solution) was applied on the eye corners for 4 weeks and the moisture content of the stratum corneum(conductance) was measured.
After applying YUZU Ceramide B, the moisture content of the stratum corneum increased. Therefore, YUZU Ceramide B is
expected to have a moisturizing effect.

 

YUZU Ceramide B or a control were applied on skin made rough with a surfactant (10% sodium lauryl sulfate (SDS)) and then rinsed off. The transepidermal water loss (TEWL) was measured before application (after the skin was made rough) and 3 hours after the test started. After applying YUZU Ceramide B, the TEWL value lowered and the barrier function of stratum corneum was enhanced.

 

Human hair damaged by bleaching was soaked in 1%YUZU Ceramide B solution for 3 minutes, rinsed with running water, and then dried. After repeating this process 30 times. Continuous treatment using YUZU Ceramide B prevented hair cuticles from rising and made hair surface smoother. Therefore, when continuously used, YUZU Ceramide B is expected to treat damaged hair.
