Continuous moving bed can be applied to continuous ion exchange and continuous chromatographic separation

Continuous ion exchange principle:

Ion exchange technology is based on resin functional groups and materials in the adsorption of specific ions carried out by the exchange process. Iion exchange is a reversible equivalent equivalent exchange reaction. Traditional ion exchange applications uses a fixed bed to achieve, our analysis of the work of the fixed bed indicate that the resin bed can be divided into three sections during the exchange process namely the saturated zone, the active zone (mass transfer zone) and the fresh resin zone. As the exchange progresses, the mass transfer zone continues to move down until the bottom exchange is complete. In the entire process only the mass transfer zone is in working condition, saturated area and fresh resin area are idle, so the resin utilization rate is low. In order to improve the utilization of resin, we transfer the mass transfer area into several small units. Once the above small units are saturated, they are removed for washing and regeneration, the fresh resin unit for processing is returned to the bottom of the mass transfer zone, which greatly improves the utilization of the resin.
