This traditional handcranked grain mill is made of cast iron
and thus can be expected to last for even more than a lifetime.
The cast iron is coated through electrolysis by a thin layer of tin that is food-safe.
This excludes metal flake-offs in your ground grains.
Although it is not meant to grind superfine flours for baking, it is excellent for grinding corn meal intended for cooking.
It can also be used to grind coarse grain meant for chicken or bird feed,
and crush grain for brewing.
Apart from corn and grain, it can also grind coffee beans, seeds, peppers,
and herbs, with an expected output of one pound per minute.
Grinding does not require too much effort as the 10-inch long crank provides enough leverage to easily turn the grinding mechanism.
The handle is rounded piece of hardwood that is comfortable to the grip. This too helps reduce fatigue when grinding.
This Grain Mill will not vibrate or judder when used as its clamping system solidly grips your table our kitchen counter.
