Product Description: | White Peony, known locally as Pai Mu Tan, is a delicate white tea made from tea buds collected and withered prior to opening. You will notice a very mild peony aroma when brewing the tea and a floral aroma. The soup is a very pale green or golden color. The flavor is fruity; stronger than Silver Needle, yet not as strong as Shou Mei. The finest quality should have a shimmering clear infusion with a delicate lingering fragrance and a fresh, mellow, sweet taste devoid of astringency, and grassy flavors. The latest medical findings suggest that white tea may be a more effective cancer fighter than even green tea. These findings have brought white teas to a much wider audience. If you are beginning your exploration of white tea, our 'White A' Cappella' tea will serve a wonderful introduction. |
