This honey is the first to be collected every year. Harvested in the coastline forest areas of Beira Region, it originates from the nectar of eucalyptus flower. With a very pleasant taste this honey is becoming increasingly popular among consumers. Slightly more aromatic than other honeys, has a light brown tone and a more open flavour.
It is the most antiseptic of honeys and it’s particularly beneficial to the respiratory system. It acts against the harmful effects of pollution, helps to combat bronchitis, cough, asthma and sinusitis.

Honey is an important complement to a healthy human diet, not only for its high energy value, but also for it's richness in nutrients that are so beneficial to the balance of our bodies, such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids. In its
composition we find Sugars of the monosaccharide type, 78% to 80%, Glucose (31%), fructose (38%), Maltose (7%), as well as other complex sugars. Lipids 1% - fatty acids such as oleic, linoleic and palmitic. Proteins. Mineral Salts, 2%, mainly Copper, Manganese, Iron, Sulphur, Phosphorus and Borio. Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8 and B9, C, D, K. Amino Acids, Aspartic Acid, Grutamico Acid, Alanine, Arginine, etc.
Colour, flavour and consistency typical of the product. All types of honey present slight variations in their appearance and composition according to the location where the honey was harvested. Slight diferences may be found even between different harvests. These variations are determined by the influence of other flowering present in its composition, soil type, climate and even handling the beekeeper (more details in product description).
Honey has the power of being self- preservation due to the presence of formic acid in its composition, an excellent natural preservative. No use of Preservatives is required. To preserve the honey in perfect conditions it should be stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, Refrigeration is not necessary. Never place a wet spoon or other wet substances into contact with honey. The contact with water causes honey to ferment and sour. When protected from light and high temperatures, honey preserves its properties without significant changes for as long as two years.
