Applications: 

 

Glycolic Acid 70%:

It is widely used in cosmetics. Because of its small molecular weight and size, it has a better 

capability to penetrate skin. It can diminish  the skin and make skin look younger by acting as 

a humectants to absorb moisture in air by exfoliating action to break the bonds between  dead 

skin cells.

Glycolic Acid 99% :

Glycolic acid crystal can be used in fine pharmaceutical synthesis, cosmetics, adhesive, solder, 

raw material for coating.  As well as an agent for nickel plate. They are also used in emulsion 

polymers, solvents and ink and paint additive to improve  flow properties and impart gloss.

 

Glycolic Acid Solubility:   Glycolic acid  freely soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetic acid and ethyl acetate; 

slightly soluble in ethyl ether, but hardly s oluble in hydrocarbon solvents.

Glycolic Acid Attribute:  

Low odor, high water solubility, no flammability, biodegradability; efficient neutralization, com-

patibility with many cleaning additives.

 

Stability and Storage: 

Glycolic acid  is chemically stable to 50°C (122°F). Polymerization occurs above 50°C (122°F).
