Fennel Oil is steam distilled from seeds of Foeniculum vulgare which are used extensively as a spice around the globe. Fennel oil has a clear color with a thin consistency. Perfumery note can be described as top or middle with the strength of aroma ranging from medium to strong and has a sweet, spicy, peppery, licorice-like aroma. The main constituent of fennel oil (trans-Anethol) has diuretic, mucolytic, and expectorant properties as well as has the ability to improve digestion.
