Ri6 durian is a durian variety imported from Cambodia and grown in many provinces in the Southwest region and the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Among more than 200 types of durian being grown on the market, Ri6 durian is considered to be a delicious durian variety, with a sweet, rich, fatty taste, flat seeds, thick, flexible rice and a beautiful dark yellow color.
Ri6 durian young fruit has a rounded shape, green skin, small and tight spines. Durian Ri6 ripe fruit weighs from 3 to 5 kg, the zone is large and clear, the spines are sparse, the skin still retains a beautiful, slightly dark green color. Ripe durian fruit is difficult to crack but easy to separate, the opener only needs to follow the line along the shell, use a knife to gently separate from the lower tip of the fruit, the fruit will spontaneously open.
Ri6 durian fruit flesh is dry, thick with rice, and the percentage of flat seeds is up to 40%. Eye-catching bright yellow color, sweet and fatty taste, moderate aroma. Ri6 durian is easy to eat, so it is popular with most customers.
Ri6 seedlings are suitable for hot and humid climates with lots of rain. Especially, the alluvial land in the Mekong Delta Vietnam is the best place to grow Ri6 variety, with high efficiency in yield and quality.
