Glucosamine is a combination of sugar, glucose, and amino acid glutamine. Absent from our everyday diet, it is naturally produced by the body with the purpose to maintain the integrity of all joint the cartilage. If, due to a metabolic deficiency or as a result of the aging process, the body no longer produces enough glucosamine, the cartilage starts to degenerate and osteoarthritis develops.
Our Glucosamine is derived from extracted chitin from crustaceans shells (shrimps, prawns, crabs or lobsters).
