Moisture: up to 14%
Main grain: 4-5%
Grain admixture 22-24%
The grain obtained during the harvesting of wheat, barley, rye, corn and other crops has a moisture content that does not allow the raw materials to be placed in storage for a long time, because it will burn and deteriorate. In order to prevent significant crop losses, it is necessary to dry the grain to a moisture content of 15% or less. In addition, in addition to agricultural crops, various weeds fall into the harvest, the seeds of which also grow in the fields. It is necessary to get rid of them by cleaning and sorting the grains.
During the primary processing of the crop (drying, cleaning and sorting), waste is formed, which is called grain waste. They consist of oat husks, wheat (outer seed shells), puny, crushed grains, weed seeds, parts of leaves and stems, as well as mineral impurities (sand).
Grain wastes of wheat, oats, rye and other agricultural crops have a fairly high nutritional value, therefore they are added to the feed of agricultural animals:
-cattle
-pigs
-horses
-poultry
Grains of cereals and granulated grain waste are not the only feed for livestock and birds. Therefore, they are included in the diet as a main or additional component, and are also used for the production of compound feeds. Of all the products of grain processing, the products of flour and oil extraction industries have the greatest value for all branches of animal husbandry.
Grain waste obtained in the production of sugar, alcohol, beer and starch is an important source of feed for livestock, pigs, and horses. Leftovers from mills, bakeries, bakeries and confectionery enterprises are used as feed for poultry and livestock. Corn, barley, oats, wheat, rye and other cereals are the basis of high-energy animal feed of plant origin.
