flavanone naringenin in humans.Both naringin and hesperetin, which are the aglycones of naringin and hesperidin, occur 

 

naturally in citrus fruits. Naringin exerts a variety of pharmacological effects such as antioxidant activity, blood lipid 

 

lowering, anticancer activity.
