As an endoamylase, LIQMEI FD rapidly decreases the viscosity of a gelatinous starch solution by randomly hydrolyzing starch, glycogen and its degradation products within the α-D-1, 4 glucosidic bonds to produce soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides.
