How to evaluate good MBBR bio filter media or bad one?

1. Carrier configuration

Roughness with fins is well proven to enhance microble cell adhension and the effective specific surface immensely.

We can see the below two picuters comparison from naked eye , obviously YULONG MBBR bio media is more rough than the other supplier.

2. Zata-potential

In most cases, microbles are with negative charges, after a special surface treatment in YULONG MBBR bio media which is with positive charges, hence it will enhance bio-film forming rapidly. 

3. Hydrophilicity affect

Microbles is Hydrophilic particles, hydrophilicity of YULONG is also very suitable for microbial growth.

4. Fluidization

The specific gravity of YULONG MBBR media is between 0.97~1.05 that make the media filter fluidization under less power consumption. 


5. Hydraulics

Void ratio of YULONG MBBR bio media can reach 90%,  the configuration of YULONG MBBR bio media is designed into honeycomb, scientific size is more suitable for 3-D flow of media filter. YULONG MBBR bio media can touch the pollutant easily.
