This is a Yabukita varietal. The tea is picked using a mechanical harvester.

Regarding the results of radioactive material inspections of crude green tea grown

in Aichi prefecture. (2nd Report)
In regard to the radioactive material inspections of crude tea grown in our prefecture,

the results of five of the nine tea-producing cities and towns in Aichi prefecture  have been

announced on June 14, 2011, and the results of the remaining four  have been established. 

All four cities tested below the standard limit. Combined with the five previously announced cities,

the safety of the tea produced in all of Aichi prefecture’s tea-producing areas has been confirmed.

All tea was harvested on June 13, 2011.
