Monascus is the only natural functional food coloring produced by microbial fermentation in the world, and it is one of the secondary metabolites of Monascus. Monascus is a powdery natural, non-toxic, safe and reliable colorant obtained by deep fermentation of monascus and advanced modern biological separation technology with rice and soybeans as the main raw materials.

Appearance: Red or dark red liquid or powder
Color value: E80, E100, E150
Usage: Add Monascus red pigment into the marinade sauce. After marinating, put into the oven which temperature is set to 250℃ and bake for 15 minutes. Then coat the skin with a thin layer of barbecue juice. Reduce the oven temperature to 150℃ and bake for another 40 minutes.
Recommended dosage: 0.5‰-1‰ of the total material weight

Expiry date and storage:
Monascus red should be sealed, placed in ventilated, cool and dry place. Protected from light, heat, mixing with toxic substance.
In the complete packaging and without unsealed, powder’s expiry date is two years, liquids' is six months.
