Nosiheptide is successfully developed as a new type of non-absorption of feed antibiotics in the late 1980s abroad, a kind of Sulfur ring peptide, which produced from fermenting Steptomyces strains. Nosiheptide promotes growth with low amount; can not easily be absorbed in the intestinal tract of livestock and poultry. Lower residue in animals’ body and small non-toxic side effects are its features; resistance is not easy, with no cross-resistance to other antibiotics, so it can be safely used in animal products.
