Spirulina is a microscopic blue-green vegetable algae that has been used as a significant food source for centuries.
Our company select strain of Spirulina platensis developed over many years of continuous cultivation in China. Strain development and perfection started in 1994. Our cultures in China represent the oldest continuously cultivated and harvested Spirulina in the world. Our year-round growing conditions and integrated culture management system have made this possible.
Spirulina manufactured by our company is a highly absorbable source of protein, mixed carotenoids and other phytonutrients, B-Vitamins, GLA and essential amino acid.
Physical Properties
Spirulina is a free-flowing green to bluish-green powder. It has a mild seaweed odor and is not soluble; it forms a suspension. The particle size is<125 microns and bulk density is>0.48(g/ml).
