Product Reference Standards

Maida means the fine product made by milling or grinding clean Wheat free from rodent hair and excreta and bolting or Dressing the resulting wheat meal. It shall conform to the following standards

Moisture:
Not more than 14.0 % (when determined by heating at 130-133° C for 2 hours).

Total Ash:
Not more than 1 % ( on dry weight basis)

Ash insoluble in dilute HCL:
Not more than 0.10% (on dry weight basis)

Gluten:
Not less than 7.5 % (on dry weight basis)

Alcoholic acidity ( with 90% alcohol ) expressed as H2SO4 (on dry weight basis)
Not more than 0.12 %
