6. Character : Colorless crystals or white crystalline powder. Easy to moisture absorption. Soluble in water and ethanol (1g product soluble in 0.5ml cold water, 0.2ml boiling water, 2.9ml ethanol). Aqueous solution reacts with litmus in an alkaline manner. The pH of 0.1mol/L aqueous solution is 9.7. Relative density 1.57.Melting point is 292 ℃. Low toxicity, 50% lethal dose (rat, via mouth) 3250mg/kg. The intermediate product is potassium oxalate and the final product is potassium carbonate.
7. Usage : Used as buffer, diuretic, fabric and paper softener, catalyst, etc.Commonly used as analytical reagent, also used in pharmaceutical industry and transparent glass ingredients;It is used as dehydrating agent, fiber treating agent and analytical reagent.
