Prosek is special authentic Dalmatian sweet wine. It is produced from the autochthonous Hvar grape varieties Bogdanusa, Par and Trbljan, from the selected harvest grapes, by using special technology. This traditional Dalmatian sweet wine has developed its special quality due to the large amounts of unboiled grape sugar and to the fact that it is left to ripen in small oak-barrels for a couple of years. It is amber-colored with distinctive sweet and strong ripe bouquet with notes of raisins. It contains from 16 to 17 vol. % of alcohol as well as 120 to 150 g/L of unboiled grape sugar and 5 to 5.5 g/L of acid. We recommend the wine be served at temperatures from 12°C to 18°C in free time and with pastry.
