Beeswax is a fatty material secreted by eight wax glands lying on abdomen of worker bee. Bee uses it for constructing beehives and sealing the nests. 

Beeswax is now widely used in the modern industry.

  Beeswax usage:

• Polishing Furnature and shoes to give them a shiny quality finish
• When burnt, Beeswax releases negative ions - these attract particles of dust and leave for a cleaner breathing environment ( see my pure beeswax tealights)
• Adding to candles to increase their burning temperature, therefore making them burn for longer
• Used as a Preservative and a finish on metals such as iron and brass
• Used on stone and wooden flooring as a polish and a preservative - it can also be used in the cracks as a sealant
• Beeswax is also used as a bullet lube - being a shooter myself I've tried this and found it leaves the barrel much cleaner, whilst significantly increasing muzzle velocity - there are plenty of guides on the internet on how to make your own.

• Beeswax is used on the cracked hooves of animals such as horses.
• Beeswax is used on ropes to reduce friction if the rope is being pulled whilst in contact with another surface.
• With Beeswax you can make your own home made earplugs - just follow guides on the internet and produce  an earplug which fits perfectly into your ear through it's excellent mouldability.
• Beeswax was used as a major ingredient in paintings to achieve the right colour
• Used on leather to help waterproof it (for example horse saddles / tack or leather shoes)
