Honey from rape is transparent, whitish, sometimes yellowish, with a pleasant mild flavor of rape, a special taste and non exaggerated sweetness. It is a very viscous, rapidly crystallizes and difficultly dissolves in water. Derived from the nectar collected from flowers of yellow oilseed rape - a plant primarily known for its essential oil. Honey from rape is very thick and quickly crystallizes, sometimes even within the hive, so it should be promptly centrifuged. After crystallization it is almost white and very firm of texture. Rape honey has a high glucose content, more than 51%, which supports the mental alertness and penetrates into the vessels of the brain. It is very rapidly absorbed from the intestine, and has the ability to remove heavy metals from the body. The high content of boron restores bone tissue and assists the thyroid gland.
