Pyramid Group ltd is the production centre of unrefined and refined oils, biodiesel and protein meals. The company’s intensive investment cycle began upon joining the business system of Pyramid Group, which resulted in an increase of its processing capacities and the modernisation of its technology. Today the factory processes nearly 220,000 tons of sunflower seeds and over 85,000 tons of soybeans per year.
Pyramid Group is unique in that, after an investment worth 10,000,000 USD, it became the largest factory to produce biodiesel in Southern Africa. This enabled the oilseed refinement production process to be carried out with full flexibility, able to alternate between the production of Edible Oils and biodiesel, depending on market conditions. Another major investment has been the installation of the biomass boiler, which ensured energy independence and the operation of the plant almost 365 days a year.
